Green Line Supply owns and operates a pharmacy located inside the flagship center and headquarters of PACE RI in East Providence RI.PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a health plan and interdisciplinary health care service provider. Green Line is the contracted pharmacy provider for PACE RI.

The embedded Green Line Supply pharmacy exclusively serves PACE RI participants.Pharmacy Technicians produce multi-dose medication packs and other prescriptions, bill insurance and process prescriptions in computer software, assist the pharmacist with all pharmacy operations, and collaborate with PACE RI providers to deliver optimal patient outcomes and exemplary customer service. This community pharmacy setting is known in the industry as “closed door.”

We are seeking hands-on, well-organized, and skilled Pharmacy Technicians who are eager to succeed in this uniquely fast-paced clinical pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:

Operation, Workflow and Prescription Filling

• Deliver on the ideals, values and highest standards of care upheld by Green Line Apothecary in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participate in all details of the daily pharmacy operation including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, financial profitability, productivity and workflow implementation
• Efficiently multitask to ensure healthy patient outcomes, timely prescription filling, optimal pharmacy operational efficiency, and client satisfaction
• Process and bill prescriptions using pharmacy computer software
• Pull medication inventory in the preparation of packs
• Assemble packs by following chart direction and hand placing pills in compliance packaging
• Efficiently and accurately fill prescription orders in multi-dose blister cards, single-dose cards, and vials
• Count tablets, label bottles/blister cards, print charts and perform all duties in support of the pharmacy’s workflow
• Coordinate with PACE RI logistics team to arrange for delivery of medications
• Stay on course with weekly production schedules as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge and the Director of Pharmacy
• Support the Pharmacist with administrative tasks including stocking supplies, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, removing trash, and light cleaning

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory
• Unpack wholesale drug orders
• Match ordered items to pending orders
• Ensure proper turnover of medication inventory as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge and the Director of Pharmacy
• Conduct regular cycle counts as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge and the Director of Pharmacy
• Identify cost-effective inventory management opportunities

Clinical Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate and communicate with PACE RI clinical staff on-site, over the phone, and via direct messaging to coordinate patient care - including PACE RI clinical pharmacist and pharmacy technician
• Respond promptly and accurately to provider and participant inquiries
• Together with the Pharmacist In Charge, partner with PACE RI pharmacy and nursing staff to maintain on-site medication storage

Qualifications:

• Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• National PTCB (Tech II) license in good standing preferred but not required
• Expertise in computer-based based prescription filling
• Expertise in prescription insurance billing, especially navigating rejections, prior authorizations and audit responses
• Superb customer service instincts and track record of exceeding patient expectations
• Skillful communicator and demonstrated ability to connect with patients, colleagues, fellow practitioners, and management
• Proven ability to efficiently multitask and accomplish simultaneous business objectives
• Ability to work on feet for long periods

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Pharmacy operating hours: Mon-Fri 8am-12:30pm, 1pm-4:30pm (closed 12:30pm-1pm for lunch)
• Located at 10 Tripps Lane East Providence RI
