Job summary

Soleo Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support our infusion pharmacy in Morrisville, NC. This role requires 100% on-site work and involves sterile compounding, patient communications, and coordination with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement teams.

The ideal candidate has NC licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, 1 year of experience in a hospital or specialty infusion setting, and familiarity with USP 797/800 standards. Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a NC Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year on-the-job pharmacy technician experience; hospital or specialty infusion setting preferred.
• PTCB/NHA certification preferred
• Excellent customer service and sterile compounding skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Sterile preparation of IV/infused medications under pharmacist direction.
• Comply with USP 797/800 standards and NC BOP regulations.
• Maintain call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care.
• Collect, document and coordinate patient information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Data entry of patient and prescription details into the pharmacy system as allowed by BOP rules.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of the clean room per policy and regulations.
• Support quality assurance and ongoing credentialing requirements.
• Assist with receiving, storage, and packaging for shipment to patient homes.
• Contribute to inventory counts and formulary management.
• Obtain additional state licensure/registration to support branch coverage.

The Position

The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include:

• Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
• Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
• Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
• Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
• Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
• Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process.
• Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
• Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
• Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
• Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.
• Primary duties for this role are to include: Prescription Ajudication, claims troubleshooting, order fullfillment, and inventory management

Schedule

• Ability to work 100 percent in person
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of North Carolina in good standing
• PTCB or NHA Certification preferred
• Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job pharmacy technician experience - preferred experience working in hospital or Specialty Infusion Pharmacy setting

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP - state of North Carolina in good standing
• PTCB/NHA Certification preferred
• Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job work experience
• Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital or specialty infusion pharmacy preferred
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
• Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent sterile compounding technique
• Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook- additional programs to include: CPR+, Insight
