Job summary

Soleo Health is seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Technician to support our specialty infusion pharmacy in Centennial, CO. This role involves clinical support under the direction of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with state regulations and USP standards. You will handle data entry, inventory, and shipment preparation for home infusions.

The position requires CO licensure as a Pharmacy Technician, PTCB or NHA certification, and prior infusion pharmacy experience. No weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician in CO; must be licensed; PTCB or NHA certification.
• Minimum experience as a pharmacy technician fulfilling order fulfilment, inventory, shipping, data entry, inbound/outbound calls for a Specialty Infusion Pharmacy or Hospital.
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred.
• ACPE requirements are met and ongoing education maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs data entry of patient and prescription information into the pharmacy software system as allowed by BOP regulations.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with policy and BOP regulations.
• Receives and stores medications and supplies from vendors.
• Picks and packages medications and supplies for shipment to customer homes.
• Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Coordinates communications, laboratory data, and clinical information with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement staff.

The Position:

The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
• Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
• Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
• Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
• Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process.
• Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
• Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
• Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
• Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.

Schedule:

• Must be able to work Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week
• Experience working with Specialty Infusion medications, hospital or specialty infusion pharmacy background preferred
• Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job work experience fulfilling the duties below as a Pharmacy Technician
• Must have experience checking in medication orders, filling medications/supply orders, shipping medications, inbound/out bound calls, inventory, data entry, and research protocol management
• Must have Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Colorado in good standing
• Must be PTCB/NHA Certified

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP - Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Colorado and requires either PTCB or NHA Certification
• Minimum experience working as a pharmacy technician providing order fulfilment, inventory, shipping medications, data entry, making inbound/outbound phone calls for a Specialty Infusion Pharmacy or Hospital
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
• Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
