Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• PTCB certification required, or equivalent certification as applicable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with filling and preparing prescription orders.
• Package and label medications accurately.
• Prepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter and maintain prescription and patient information.
• Help organize medications and pharmacy supplies.
• Support inventory and medication preparation processes.
• Communicate with pharmacists, team members and healthcare partners as needed.
• Follow pharmacy procedures and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.
• Help keep pharmacy operations organized, accurate and efficient.

What You’ll Do

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and help ensure medications are prepared accurately, efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assist pharmacists with filling and preparing prescription orders
• Package and label medications accurately
• Prepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervision
• Enter and maintain prescription and patient information
• Help organize medications and pharmacy supplies
• Support inventory and medication preparation processes
• Communicate with pharmacists, team members and healthcare partners as needed
• Follow pharmacy procedures and applicable state and federal requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information
• Help keep pharmacy operations organized, accurate and efficient

Depending on experience, you may also work alongside senior or lead pharmacy technicians who can provide additional guidance and support.
