Bayview Physicians Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patients, providers, and pharmacies across Hampton Roads. This role involves processing refill requests, prior authorizations, and enrollment in pharmaceutical assistance programs.

You will also manage on-site medication samples and liaise with pharmaceutical representatives while maintaining accurate EMR workflows. This position emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork with competitive pay and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing is required.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical concepts and insurance payor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical partners.
• Process medication refill requests and prior authorizations accurately through the EMR.
• Assist patients with enrollment in pharmaceutical assistance programs.
• Track, monitor, and manage on-site medication samples.
• Build strong working relationships with pharmaceutical representatives.
• Respond to pharmacy inquiries regarding prescriptions, refills, and medication interactions.
• Handle patient calls related to medication questions, concerns, and provider messages.
• Support physicians and office managers with administrative tasks as needed.
