Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the hospital's unit dose and IV admixture programs under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

You will prepare IV medications, manage inventory, operate dispensing systems, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe medication distribution. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a large health system.

Qualifications

• Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution and IV admixture duties.
• Maintains confidential reports and data entry in the computer system.
• Prepares intravenous medications including chemotherapy, hyper-alimentation, and antibiotics.
• Fills the automated medication dispensing system with unit dose medications and procures supplies.

This position is for full time mixed shifts with rotating weekends.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, and/or director of pharmacy services, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, prepare intravenous medication, including but not limited to, chemotherapeutic preparations, hyper-alimentations and antibiotics, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor
