Job summary

MultiCare Auburn Medical Center in Auburn, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will order supplies, verify deliveries, maintain stock, and enter medications and billing data in the computer system.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and current WA State Pharmacy Technician certification, with National certification preferred. Retail pharmacy experience is noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices.
• Store items received and maintain stock levels, dating and initialing invoices and packing slips upon receipt.
• Enter customer medications and billing information into the computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is an exciting staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations. Responsibilities:

• You will assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices
• You will store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, to include dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
• You will enter customer's medication and billing information into computer system
• You will answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed
• You will perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
• Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
• If required to drive a MHS vehicle, a driver's license is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $27.64 - $45.69 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
