Job summary

Main Line Health's Lankenau Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in filling and delivering medication orders, and preparing IV medications under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Full-time evening shift 2:30p-11p, with every 4th weekend. Requires a high school diploma, basic math skills, computer literacy, IV aseptic technique, and Pharmacy Technician certification or enrollment in an accredited program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong math background.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in computer systems.
• Aseptic technique for IV preparations.
• Medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician or enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program.

Responsibilities

• Fill and deliver medication orders under a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications and inspect pharmacy inventory.
• Organize and stock medications as needed.

Pharmacy Technician

Shift:

Evening shift 2:30p-11p. Every 4th weekend

Experience:

Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, along with a strong background in math, is required.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of computers, aseptic technique for IV preparations, and medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy, as necessary.

Licensures/Certifications:

Effective May 1, 2020:

Must be certified Pharmacy Tech or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program or progressing towards PharmD.
