Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a collaborative team supporting pharmacists, technicians, and other medical professionals. You will receive comprehensive training, enabling you to prepare sterile IV products, restock automated cabinets, and dispense solid dosages for patients at infusion sites.
Responsibilities include order processing, medication procurement from electronic systems, and assisting with training. This full-time role is onsite at 2850 S.

As a Pharmacy Technician at Michigan Medicine, you will work within a highly collaborative team that includes Pharmacists, Technicians, and other medical professionals. We provide all of our Pharmacy Technicians with a comprehensive, hands‑on training to ensure you feel confident in performing your day‑to‑day responsibilities. Once training is complete, you will be able to prepare sterile IV products, restock automated dispensing cabinets, and dispense solid oral dosage forms for patients visiting the various infusion sites.
Complete order fill processing for internal/supply only orders. Complete order fill processing for prescription and enteral/supply orders. Provide order double checks for non-High alert orders. Participate in weekend, shift rotation and holiday staffing as assigned. Provide sick and vacation coverage as required.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical activity: lifting, pulling, bending, manual dexterity movements. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize with accuracy and dependability: Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.

This is a pharmacy technician position. HomeMed is located at 2850 S. Industrial Hwy. Suite 50, Ann Arbor.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre‑employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre‑employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
