Job summary

PACKARD HEALTH INC is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician in Ann Arbor, MI. The role involves accepting prescriptions, recording patient histories, and providing excellent patient service. You will verify prescriptions, manage patient data, and handle inventory and 340B audits.

Experience with EHRs and Liberty POS is preferred; High School Diploma or GED and Michigan tech license are required. This is a day-shift, on-site position with standard healthcare setting expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensed Michigan Pharmacy Technician required.
• Experience with EHRs and cloud-based platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept prescriptions or refill requests and evaluate information for completeness and accuracy.
• Record medical histories with HIPAA compliance.
• Provide quality customer service to patients and staff, refer to Pharmacist when needed.
• Verify accuracy of prescriptions and patient information.
• Input patient data, fill prescriptions, label medications, and deliver medications at point of sale or otherwise.
• Perform inventory audits, stocking, and purchasing supplies and medication.
• Conduct 340B audits for the in-house and contract pharmacies.
• Daily cleaning, compliance and organizational tasks.

Job Duties

• Accepting prescriptions or refill requests from patients and health care professionals and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
• Recording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Delivering quality customer service to patients and medical staff, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to Pharmacist for Medical Information.
• Verifying accuracy of Prescriptions and Patient information.
• Inputting Patient information, including Demographic, Insurance and Prescription data, filling Prescriptions, counting medications, attaching medication labels, and delivering medications at point of sale or otherwise.
• Performing inventory audits, stocking, and purchasing supplies and medication.
• Performing 340B audits for both the in-house pharmacy and 340B contract pharmacies.
• Perform daily Cleaning, Compliance, and organizational tasks.

Qualifications: Required education and experience

• High School Diploma of GED
• Licensed Michigan Pharmacy Technician
• Ability to operate software, such as EHRs, office email, calendar, and remote meeting functions, internet browsers, and cloud-based platforms required.
