Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ExCPT Certification or PTCB certification and state board registration.
• 1 year of experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity.
• Reviewing patient information with prescriptions in compliance with guidelines.
• Educating and precepting new pharmacy technicians and students.
• Providing instructions to patients on how to take medications.
• Adhering to infection-control protocols to protect staff and patients.
• Other duties as assigned by the department.
