Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) at the Richmond Cancer Institute for a PRN role. The technician will perform chemotherapy IV compounding, sterile IV preparation oversight, and general pharmacy duties while maintaining accurate records and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, ExCPT/PTCB certification with state board registration, and at least one year of relevant pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• ExCPT or PTCB certification and state Board of Pharmacy registration required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify the accuracy of prescriptions.
• Review patient information with prescriptions in compliance with GMP/QA guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Educate and precept pharmacy technicians and students; support performance improvement activities.
• Lead specialized activities including chemotherapy IV compounding and sterile IV preparation oversight.
