Job summary

Safeway in Colorado is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications within regulatory guidelines. You will interact with customers, answer questions, and relay clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, maintaining accuracy and privacy.

This role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older, per location rules.
• Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations and computer usage.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepare medications and ensure accurate labeling and dosing.
• Assist customers, answer questions, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintain records, manage inventory, and restock supplies.
• Keep the workspace clean and compliant with federal and state regulations.
• Support daily operations and ensure accuracy and privacy.
