Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers in Columbus, OH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the on-duty pharmacist with dispensing medications, data entry, and insurance adjudication. You will greet patients, process prescriptions, and help ensure cost-effective care within a busy retail-like setting.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and familiarity with Allscripts and PioneerRx. Full-time, Monday–Friday, standard hours, non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy required.
• National certification from a pharmacy tech program preferred at hire.
• Knowledge of 340B program preferred.
• Experience with Allscripts and PioneerRx software preferred.
• Understanding of laws impacting medication dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and dispense medications accurately and with patient focus.
• Process prescriptions by paper and electronic formats.
• Adjudicate prescriptions through insurance while minimizing patient costs.
• Respond to provider and patient requests by phone, computer, or in person.
• Maintain records per policy and state/federal law.
• Manage inventory including annual controlled substance inventory.
• Perform non-sterile compounding.
• Maintain compliant pharmacy operations and meet licensing requirements.
