Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by performing tasks such as prescription order entry, claims adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, and inventory management. Responsibilities include operating automated pharmacy devices, handling controlled substances, maintaining assigned areas, and communicating effectively with patients. The role requires assessing and addressing the age-specific needs of patients and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. All duties are performed in alignment with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license issued by Florida or a Compact State
