Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to assist the Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders, and to perform technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

You will provide patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Work hours are 8am-4:30pm with no weekend or on-call requirements, in a fast-paced, team-based environment at a leading Atlanta-area hospital.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia is required.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Work Hours:

8am-4:30pm
