Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing orders, and to perform technical duties in handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

The role requires registration as a Georgia Pharmacy Technician, at least one year of experience, and provides patient care services across neonate to geriatric patients. Work hours are 8:30–5 with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Education

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
