Job summary

Meijer, a family company serving people and communities across six Midwest states, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Wooster, Ohio. You will dispense medications, counsel patients, and support clinical services while maintaining accurate records and a patient-first approach.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, efficient data entry in the dispensing system, and collaboration with store teams to promote health and safety.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

The position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy promotes patient care. This person must be friendly and provide remarkable customer service to enhance overall patient health.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Level 2 Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
