Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a pharmacy team member dedicated to patient care. You will interact with customers, process prescriptions, and promote clinical services while ensuring accuracy and privacy in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include entering data, producing labels, handling claims, stocking medications, and maintaining organized, compliant operations. Prior experience in retail pharmacy is valued, along with a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient typing and neat penmanship expected.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and assist with stock management.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and orderly pharmacy area.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards.

What You'll be Doing:

• Level 2
• Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
