Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy team member to support daily dispensing operations. You will retrieve medications, enter prescription information, and prepare labels while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. The role includes handling insurance claims and maintaining a clean, professional pharmacy area.

Strong customer service, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior retail/pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred in a retail or pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare prescriptions.
• Input patient and prescription data into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications and maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
