Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our customer‑centered pharmacy team. You will dispense medications, input prescriptions, and process insurance claims while focusing on exceptional patient care.

In this role you will maintain patient confidentiality, manage the dispensing workflow, and promote pharmacy services. A friendly, professional demeanor and accuracy are essential to support community health at our store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
