Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will provide patient-centered care, verify prescriptions, and ensure accurate dispensing in a fast-paced retail setting.

This role emphasizes excellent communication, confidentiality, teamwork with store staff, and adherence to regulatory requirements while contributing to Meijer's commitment to community health.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required or equivalent.
• Retail/Community Practice experience preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
