Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking Pharmacy Technicians/Trainees to support the pharmacy department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a hospital setting. You will assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring records are up to date according to procedures and regulations.

The role requires attention to regulatory compliance, strong teamwork with health care professionals, and flexibility to travel between STHS facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital or 1 year IV experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, solve problems, and adapt to changes.
• Aptitude for working with other health care professionals.
• Willing to travel between STHS facilities.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and reporting suspected issues.
