Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Pharmacy Tech In Training to support the pharmacy team and help coordinate medication delivery across the organization. The role includes record-keeping, inventory control, and clerical duties within the pharmacy.

The candidate rotates through all pharmacy areas, assists with dispensing systems, compounds medications, and participates in sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

• ND Tech-in-Training license within two weeks of hire
• If graduate, must have Tech-in-Training license prior to start and obtain PTCB within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Rotates through all work areas of the pharmacy.
• Coordinates automated and non-automated medications dispensing systems and cart fill activities to provide efficient medication inventory control.
• Compounds pharmaceutical products such as ointments, creams and other medications according to rules and regulations.
• Responsible for sterile compounding activities in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Completes pharmacist-supervised clinic duties as allowed by licensure and as assigned by the supervising pharmacist.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
