Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II for the Medical History department to assist pharmacists with medication processing and distribution. Responsibilities include preparing medications accurately and managing drug inventory.

Candidates must have a High School Equivalent or GED and preferably be a graduate from an accredited pharmacy technician program. A State of Ohio CPhT certification is required for this position. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) State of Ohio CPhT license required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting pharmacists in medication retrieval, processing, and preparation.
• Accurate preparation and delivery of patient medications.
• Monitoring and maintaining drug inventory.

Skills

Understanding of metric system and basic math concepts

Good communication skills

Knowledge of personal computer systems

Basic knowledge of pharmacy computer systems

Education

High School Equivalent / GED

Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
