Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Pharmacy in Winston-Salem, NC. The 1st shift operates Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation, and applies to a 40-hour schedule.

The role assists in preparation and distribution of medications, with opportunities for immunization certification and potential training responsibilities. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) certification required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screen calls and route as needed using proper telephone etiquette.
• Assist in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Complete documentation for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances as applicable.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
• Perform sterile IV admixture as defined at the entity level.
• Inspect storage areas for policy adherence.
• Document medication admission histories where applicable.
• Support training of pharmacy technicians and extenders as needed.
