Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Hematology & Oncology Ambulatory, in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with no weekends or holidays. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Pay range is $24.10–$36.15 per hour, with full benefits and 40 hours per week. Requires NC pharmacy tech credentials, associate degree, and CPT/ExCPT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; NC technicians require an associate's degree in pharmacy technology.
• State board registration/licensure per state of employment.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or ExCPT.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance, pharmacy, or medical background.

Responsibilities

• Complete area-specific work per standard procedures and policies.
• Serve as an expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Solve technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensure documents and records are accurate and timely.
• Support communication with patients and care teams.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective care.

• Participate in site or system teams, committees, and councils.
