HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I PRN. In this role, you will dispense medications and maintain inventory under pharmacist supervision, updating patient records accordingly.

You will also handle controlled substances with proper documentation, ensure stock adequacy, and support ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmaceuticals across patient care areas. The position emphasizes prioritizing urgent and routine requests and adhering to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Active registered pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern with the State Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders requested by physician or pharmacist and deliver to patient care areas.
• Dispense Controlled Substances with proper documentation; report discrepancies to the pharmacist.
• Ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies per policies.
• Assist ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies; rotate stock and replace outdated drugs.
• Pickup orders and medications for return during rounds."
• Organize and prioritize work assignments; respond promptly to urgent and routine requests.
