Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (PRN) to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and to assist with training technicians. You will help ensure accuracy, safety, and efficient workflow within the pharmacy.

The role includes flexible shifts, with typical duties including on-going dispensing, inventory control, and adherence to Mercy standards. Missouri registration and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for Tech I/II/III, with active Missouri registration.
• Experience in pharmacy settings preferred; ability to complete orientation and stay compliant with laws.
• Techs must follow dispensing standards and support pharmacists in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Check all medications and preparations before dispensing to patients.
• Train and support entry-level technicians; act as workflow resource.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, and Mercy standards.
