Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Rio Rancho, NM seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team under a pharmacist's supervision. You will fill medication orders, participate in non-sterile compounding and stock management while delivering medications across inpatient and outpatient areas.

This full-time position uses Pyxis, Pharmogistics and CII safe technologies; candidates should have a High school diploma or GED and NM Tech certification (PTCB or NHA).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Tech State NM Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB OR Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA.
• Prefers 1-2 years of previous Pharmacy Tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Uses Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe.
• Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.
• Non-sterile unit dose packaging (Cart, tray, and kit preparation).
• Handling of non-sterile hazardous medications and proper waste disposal.
• Maintains records for controlled and non-controlled substances.
• Delivers supplies to patient units and ancillary areas.
• Responds to questions and problems over the phone.
• Checks stock and reorders outdated items per manufacturer requirements.
• Adheres to Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
