Job summary
PDC Pharmacy in Boulder, CO is hiring a Pharmacy Technician/Data Entry to support patient demographics, insurance, and prescription processing under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities include collecting background information, entering data, coordinating with medical records, setting up third-party billing, processing prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with DEA and state regulations. Prior pharmacy experience and a Pharmacy Technician Certificate are required.
Qualifications
- Prior pharmacy experience is required.
- Prior data/order entry experience in pharmacy is required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certificate is required.
- Minimum age 21 years is required.
Responsibilities
- Collect all necessary background information and profile new patients.
- Collect insurance information and coordinate with medical records personnel.
- Set up third party billing and complete prescription data entry.
- Process prescriptions and resolve exceptions; obtain authorizations for refills.
- Coordinate prior authorization with prescribers, insurance and customers.
- Maintain audit readiness and compliance with DEA and state regulations.
- Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist and with the Director of Pharmacy.
