Responsibilities

• Fill physician orders, medication kits, carts, or stock requests on time and accurately.
• Replenish medications in crash carts or stock areas.
• Prepare intravenous admixture or other sterile preparations.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
• Maintain stock levels according to policies and procedures.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Rotate stock to ensure use before expiration.
• Provide customer service at the window and over the phone.

Full Time Technical Fairbury, NE, US

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking to hire a Full-time Pharmacy Technician.

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm, 40hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPHT certification or able to obtain certification within 12 months of hire date. If you currently do not have your CPHT we are able to train and help you get ready for the certification test. But you must pass the CPHT certification within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Sterile Product Preparation examination within 90 days of employment and re-certify annually.
• No drug related misdemeanors or felonies on criminal record.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Receives, sorts, manufactures, compounds, and processes a variety of drug and supply orders. Assists in the maintenance of drug inventories and records of drug distribution by following established policies and procedures which affects the overall accuracy, reliability, and acceptability of Pharmaceutical Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONBILILITIES:

• Procures, distributes, and enters patient information and medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignments according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Enters patient information in to the pharmacy database, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Fills physician orders, medication surgical kits, medication carts, or stock requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Replenishes medications in emergency crash carts or floor stock areas.
• Prepares intravenous admixture or other sterile preparations.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
• Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before expiration date.
• Performs customer service by helping at the window and by answering the phone.
