Qualifications

• CPHT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must pass Sterile Product Preparation examination within 90 days of employment and re-certify annually.
• No drug related misdemeanors or felonies on record.
• Detail oriented; able to perform difficult mathematical problems.

Responsibilities

• Procures, distributes, and enters patient information and medication orders per physician request.
• Enters patient information into the pharmacy database accurately and promptly.
• Fills physician orders, medication kits, carts, or stock requisitions timely.
• Replenishes medications in emergency crash carts or floor stock areas.
• Prepares intravenous admixture or other sterile preparations.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies per policies.
• Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before expiration date.
• Performs customer service at the window and by answering the phone.
