Job summary

LeeSar in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Central Fill Pharmacy Technician to join our onsite distribution team. You will support the preparation and distribution of medications to hospital partners under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration with pharmacists and technicians to meet daily goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, prioritize tasks, and work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety and quality.
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree; board-certified program; 1 year of pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Fill hospital Pyxis medication orders with high accuracy.
• Pick, prepare, and repackage medications for distribution.
• Operate unit-dose packaging and pharmacy equipment.
• Restock medications and supplies from vendors.
• Perform inventory control, identify expired meds, coordinate returns.
• Prepare and load medication totes for delivery.
• Maintain safe handling throughout fulfillment.
• Serve as backup driver for medication deliveries.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to meet daily goals.
• Identify process, safety, and efficiency improvements.

What You’ll Do

As a Central Fill Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the preparation and distribution of medications to our hospital partners.

• Fill hospital Pyxis medication orders using pharmacy software with a high level of accuracy
• Pick, prepare, and repackage medications for distribution
• Operate unit-dose packaging and other pharmacy equipment
• Restock medications and supplies received from vendors
• Perform inventory control, including identifying expired medications and coordinating returns or disposal
• Prepare, secure, and load medication totes for delivery
• Maintain safe and secure medication handling throughout the fulfillment process
• Serve as a backup driver for medication deliveries when needed
• Work closely with pharmacists, fellow technicians, and other team members to accomplish daily goals
• Help identify opportunities to improve processes, safety, and efficiency

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license
• Ability to maintain accuracy, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety and quality

Preferred:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Completion of a board-certified pharmacy technician program
• One year of pharmacy technician experience

Physical and environmental requirements include the ability to lift 35-50 lbs., work in a fast-paced environment, operate equipment requiring manual dexterity, and be present for scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
