Peoples Rx is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician or Registered Technician Trainee for our North Lamar location in Austin, TX. The role supports a collaborative team focused on personalized patient care and requires an active Texas Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee registration.

In-person, with a schedule that may include weekends. Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, accurate data entry, familiarity with pharmacy terminology, and comfort using pharmacy software to process

Formación

• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license is required.

• Strong data entry accuracy and efficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Process and verify prescription orders.
• Enter prescription data into the pharmacy software accurately.
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions.
• Coordinate with providers for clarifications and refills.
• Troubleshoot insurance claim issues and billing questions.
• Assist pharmacists with packaging and labeling medications.
• Maintain inventory and place medication orders as directed.

Full-Time Pharmacy Technician or Registered Technician Trainee – North Lamar

Peoples Rx is looking for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician or registered Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our North Lamar team.

Whether you're an experienced technician or newer to pharmacy, we'd love to hear from you. Our North Lamar location offers a supportive environment for developing your pharmacy skills while working alongside an experienced team focused on personalized patient care.

Important: Applicants must already hold an active Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) registration as either a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee to be considered.

Requirements

• Must have active TSBP Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee license
• Must reside in the greater Austin area (in-person role, variable locations)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong data entry skills with accuracy and efficiency
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology
• 6 months to 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Able to lift up to 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods (typically up to 8 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify prescription orders (written/electronic)
• Accurately input prescription data into pharmacy software
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions
• Contact providers for prescription clarifications and refill authorizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues
• Support pharmacists with packaging and labeling medications
• Help maintain inventory and place medication orders when directed
