Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice. The role emphasizes patient-centric service, interaction with customers, and supporting the pharmacist in prescription processing and daily operations.

Successful candidates will obtain PTCB certification and participate in ongoing training. Prior retail experience and knowledge of Walgreens systems are preferred, with opportunities to advance through our comprehensive training program.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior experience with Walgreens (preferred).
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications (preferred).
• Good computer skills (preferred).
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; process prescriptions.
• Assist with inventory management, cash handling, and related clerical tasks.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience and build patient relationships.
• Support pharmacy staff in coordinating clinical services and community outreach.
