Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the heart of patient care. You will interact with customers, support pharmacists, and participate in an apprenticeship program that leads toward PTCB certification.

The role emphasizes patient relationships, accuracy in prescription processing, and excellent customer service. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within Walgreens as you gain credentials and experience in a patient-centric pharmacy

Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing).
Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and related duties.
Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and patient information.
Deliver a welcoming, helpful customer experience and build patient relationships.
Support inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Maintain compliance with company policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
