Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Pharmacy Technician – Data & Reporting Specialist to enhance pharmacy operations through data collection, analysis, and advanced reporting. The role combines traditional technician duties with analytics to drive performance, workflow improvements, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will manage data from multiple systems, develop dashboards, and provide actionable insights to leadership while ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Current Pharmacy Technician certification and registration as required by state regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, data validation, and charts.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or other reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with regulations.
  • Collect, validate, and maintain pharmacy data from multiple systems.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc reports on pharmacy performance.
  • Monitor KPIs such as prescription volume, prior authorization turnaround times, and adherence metrics.
  • Create dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Present findings to pharmacy leadership and support audit/compliance efforts.

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician – Data & Reporting SpecialistDepartment: Pharmacy OperationsReports To: Pharmacy Manager / Director of OperationsPosition SummaryThe Pharmacy Technician – Data & Reporting Specialist supports pharmacy operations through accurate data management, reporting, inventory oversight, and patient service support. This role combines traditional pharmacy technician responsibilities with advanced analytical and reporting functions to assist leadership in monitoring performance, identifying trends, improving workflows, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
