Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Denison, Texas. In this role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in providing essential pharmacy services such as dispensing medications, performing inventory control, and maintaining pharmacy records.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, Texas Board of Pharmacy registration, and preferably previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacy calculations is required.

Job description

Position Summary

Works under direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist and/or Lead Pharmacy Technician who are responsible for providing pharmacy services including but not limited to dispensing, nonsterile and sterile compounding, unit dosing, performing inventory control, out dating medications, unit inspections, compliance audits, and maintaining pharmacy records. Major responsibilities of the pharmacy technician will vary depending on the role assigned to him or her on their shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
• Texas Board of Pharmacy registration for Pharmacy Tech required.
• Knowledge of basic medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic pharmacy calculations/equivalents, and basic knowledge of computers required.
