Job summary

Skill is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Frisco, TX, to fill a temporary Pharmacy Technician position. You will assist in accurate medication fulfillment, data entry, and coordination with pharmacists to ensure timely prescriptions.

The job requires 2-4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience, Texas licensure, and the ability to work 7:00 AM–6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a W-2, no sponsorship role, offering $20-$22 hourly.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
  • Texas license for Pharmacy Technician.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • No sponsorship required for the assignment.
  • W-2 employment; 1099/C2C not permitted.
  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and outreach to members and physicians.
  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member concerns.
  • Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation.
  • Assist with inbound/outbound calls to patients or physicians.
  • Support pharmacy operations with related duties.

As a key contributor to the medication fulfillment team, you will ensure the seamless processing and distribution of prescriptions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with pharmacists and engage with patients and physicians, ensuring every prescription is handled with care and precision.

What You'll Do
  • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting outreach to members and physicians.

Eligibility and Core Requirements

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of foundational education, practical experience, and essential certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
  • Have a valid and current Pharmacy Technician's or Pharmacy Technician Trainee's license for the State of Texas.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment.
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position.
  • Be able to work the following schedule: Monday - Friday and be flexible to work an 8-hour shift from 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
