Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Senior Certified Technician to join our Knoxville, TN pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacist, supervise technician training, oversee dispensing steps, and help manage inventory while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of customer service.

You will lead by example, support store health initiatives, ensure safety and sanitation, and participate in immunization administration where allowed by state law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Professional, dependable with a positive attitude and good judgment.
• Self-motivated with ability to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and stellar customer service skills.
• Excellent communication with leaders and peers.
• Completion of national and/or state registration, certification or license depending upon state requirements.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities that do not require pharmacist judgment.
• Provide stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing.
• Train and mentor new hire technicians; support technician day-to-day training.
• Lead technician training program and support for pharmacy associates.
• Oversee department standards by leading by example and delegating as necessary.
• Serve as primary representative for store-wide meetings/huddles.
• Help create and manage scheduling and station rotation for hourly staff.
