Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to help the pharmacist under direct supervision, process prescriptions, and provide courteous, efficient service at the register. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and support inventory and workflow.

Applicants should be fluent in English, flexible in scheduling, and have retail experience; math and computer skills, plus PTCB certification, are preferred to ensure accuracy and safety in dispensing

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and basic store inventory knowledge.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing prescriptions.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and verify information.
• Provide courteous, friendly checkout service and assist customers.
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise displays.
• Support inventory management and participate in pharmacy workflow.
