Cardinal Health is seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to assist indigent patients in applying for pharmaceutical manufacturer patient assistance programs using eRecovery software. The role focuses on recovering drugs for patients without third-party coverage, liaising with physicians and providers, and educating stakeholders on program guidelines.
The position requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and experience in a high-volume healthcare setting.
What Individualized Care contributes to Cardinal Health Clinical Operations is responsible for providing clinical specialties support and expertise in the areas of advice and consulting, research, and patient care to internal business units and external customers. The primary purpose of this position is the application to medication assistance programs on behalf of patients utilizing eRecovery software to drive cost containment within a health system account. The goal is to access free medications directly from pharmaceutical manufacturers’ Patient Assistance Programs via the application process for needy indigent or low-income persons.
Pay rate: $34.10 per hour
