Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead clinical and operational pharmacy services. You will review prescriptions for safety, authorize technicians, and perform final dispensing checks to ensure expert oversight.

You will guide the team, foster learning, and drive operational excellence while delivering patient-centered care and collaboration with doctors and nurses to optimize treatments.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist: AZ licensure or eligibility.
• PharmD with 2+ years related experience, or BS in Pharmacy with 2+ years related experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred (1+ year).

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily workload and staffing of the department.
• Monitors budget and variances, acts to remediate within authority.
• Develops department policies and procedures to improve pharmacy usage and customer service.
• Ensures inventory control measures align with standards.
• Ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures.
• Represents the Pharmacy in meetings when needed.
• Coordinates compounding and dispensing activities per orders.
• Oversees workflows of pharmacists and technicians to create efficiencies.
• Mentors pharmacists, interns, residents, students and staff.
