Job summary

Free Market Health is seeking a Program Manager, Pharmacy Strategy & Execution to translate strategy into successful execution, partnering with Pharmacy Strategy and leading handoffs into implementation, launch, and ongoing oversight.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and capable of turning evolving initiatives into clear, actionable plans, accountable workstreams, and measurable outcomes across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy, public health, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment.
• Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, payer, health technology, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to translate evolving strategy into practical execution plans and drive business outcomes.
• Strong planning, risk/issue management, governance, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience designing clear program dashboards and reporting for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Pharmacy Strategy to understand program design, outcomes, requirements, stakeholders, risks, and dependencies.
• Lead structured handoffs from strategy into execution with defined scope, milestones, and ownership.
• Own program management after handoff including planning, workstreams, readiness, launch, and post-launch oversight.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across Pharmacy Enablement, Network, Product, Technology, Analytics, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other teams.
• Establish governance practices, logs, RAID tracking, escalation paths, cadence, and executive status reporting.
• Create visibility into program health with dashboards, concise updates, and risk/decision reporting.
• Identify delivery risks, resource constraints, dependencies, and corrective options.
• Build launch-readiness and operational-readiness plans before go-live.
• Collaborate with Analytics to operationalize KPIs, reporting cadences, and thresholds.
• Develop reusable tools, templates, playbooks, and documentation standards for scalable programs.
