HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Pharmacy Specialist Technician I to work onsite at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will perform various technician duties, ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing medications on a full-time rotating schedule. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, IL/WI licensure or pending license, and will obtain required certifications within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 1 year pharmacy experience is required.
• Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in IL or WI.
• Certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire or enrolled in a Doctorate of Pharmacy program.
• License pending status allowed up to 60 days (IL) / until registration (WI).

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist, perform various tasks per policies and procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in pharmacy technician specialty practice as required by the department.
• Support the pharmacy operations to ensure accurate dispensing and safety.
