Job summary

SelectRx, a SelectQuote subsidiary, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare outgoing shipments and receive incoming items in our Indianapolis facility. You’ll organize inventory, review shipment schedules, and document damages to ensure accurate processing and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include stocking, packing, and moving goods with appropriate equipment, maintaining orderly records, and collaborating with operations to optimize throughput while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in computer applications.
• Experience in retail or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and process orders including receiving deliveries registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
• Maintain the company stockroom by organizing cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
• Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
• Handle issues arising in shipping and inventory handling
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and solve them
• Place merchandise in a storage system by packaging lifting items as necessary and operating lifting equipment and pallet jacks for large goods
• Performs duties and responsibilities according to the philosophy and standards of SelectRx including conveying courtesy respect enthusiasm and positive attitudes in work situations with clients peers and visitors
• Maintains client and associate confidentiality
• Responsible for understanding all applicable policies and procedures of the department necessary to perform essential job functions as well as the associate handbook
• Responsible for other job-related tasks other than those stated above as directed by the VP of Operation as requested
