Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information including patient and prescriber search, drug selection, insurance billing and problem resolution.
• Process new and refill prescriptions; accept refill authorizations where permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory per state law; create labels and place medications in containers.
• Complete paperwork and input data into the computer system; maintain cleanliness and order in the Pharmacy.
• Assist with inventory management including order review, restocking shelves, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law permits.
