Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative for prompt service.
• Enter prescription information into the computer (patient/prescriber search, drug selection, insurance billing).
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorization where allowed by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory as permitted by state law.
• Create labels and place them on prescription containers; place medications into containers.
• Complete paperwork and input data into the system.
• Assist in keeping the Pharmacy department clean and orderly.
• Assist in inventory management and physical inventory preparation.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law permits.
