Responsibilities

• Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information into computer systems, including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
• Accept customer and prescription information for processing new and refill prescriptions, including authorization from doctors where allowed by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory where allowed by state law.
• Create prescription labels and affix them to containers where allowed by state law.
• Place medications into prescription containers where allowed by state law.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input data into the computer system where permitted by law.
• Assist in maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and organized.
• Assist in inventory management, including order reviews, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
